Black Lives Matter.

Franklin County Pride unequivocally believes that Black Lives Matter. We remember that Stonewall was a riot led by LGBTQIA+ people of color. We believe that the police officers who murdered George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and who cut short countless other Black and brown lives are the product of a pervasively racist system with roots in white supremacy. We acknowledge that there is no single Black experience in America just as there is no single LGBTQIA+ experience. We empathize with the pain of injustice inflicted by those with power against those without.

​We must work to end the state-sanctioned violence against BIPOC and fight for justice for the victims, their families, and the communities they were stolen from.
